Installing Theme via wordpress interface

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes
• Click on 'Add New'
• Search for the 'AccessPress Mag' Theme.
• Click on 'install' and activate the theme

    
Installing Theme Offline

• Download a Copy of AccessPress Mag Theme from Wordpress
• You'll get 'accesspress-mag.zip' file save it in your storage.
• Go to Dashboard > Themes > Click on 'Add New'
• Click on 'Upload Theme'.
• Browse for the theme you've have downloaded ('accesspress-mag').
• Click on 'install'
• And Activate the theme.

Required plugins: 

• AccessPress Social Counter
• AccessPress Social Icons
• AccessPress Social Social Share
• Newsletter

Creating Menus

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Menus.
• Click on 'create a new menu'.
• Enter the name for the menu in 'Menu Name' field.
• Click on 'Create Menu' button.
• Add Pages, Links, Categories.. from left as per your requirement.
• Set Theme Locations as 'Primary Menu' (menu under logo) then Click on Save Menu.

Setting up Top menu

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Menus.
• Create menus for both left and reight menu for top section.
• Set Theme Locations as 'Top Menu' and 'Top Menu (Right)' then Click on Save Menu.

Setting up News Ticker

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options.
• Open Header > Header Settings
• Choose "Yes/No" option to Show/Hide news ticker below top menu section.
• Add Ticker Caption as you like.
• Click on "Save Option".

Setting Up Logo

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Customize.
• Open Header Image section.
• Use previous/upload image for site logo.
• You may choose to display either logo only or logo and site title only or both by choosing option in "Site Title & Tagline" section.
• Click on 'Save Options'.

Setting Logo Alt Attribute and Loto Title Attribute

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options.
• Open Header > Logo Settings tab .
• Add "logo alt" and "logo title" text.
• Click on "Save options".        

Setting Up Header Ads

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets
• Add "Text" widget in "Header Ad" widget area.
• Leave blank for widget title filed.
• Add your google adsense or required text, also you have used your own add banner jpg/png with 728px width and 90px height. 
• Click on 'Save Options'.

        
Configuring Favicon

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options.
• Open Header > Logo Settings tab .
• Click the 'Upload' button of 'Favicon' option.
• Select the favicon for your site from media library.
• Click on 'Save Options'.

AccessPress Mag Provides a 'Home Page' template for your home page. Please follow these steps to configure your home page with 'home page' template.

• Go to Dashboard > Pages > Add New.
• Create a Page (for your home page).
• Enter the Title (e.g. 'Home') and and assign the page with 'Home Page' Template.
• Click on 'Publish' button.
• Now Go to Dashboard > Settings > Reading.
• Set 'Front page displays' option to display 'A static page'.
• Then Select the Page (home page created with 'home page' template) from 'Front Page' Drop Down List.
• Now configure the home page sections.

Then,

Configure Slider Section

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options.
• Open Hoomepage Settings > Slider Settings tab.
• Select available option to display posts in slider. 

• Choose 'YES' from 'Show pager' option which you wish to show slider's pager.
• Choose 'No' from 'Show control' option which you wish to hide slider's control.
• Choose 'No' from 'Auto Transaction' option wich you wish to stop slides transaction automatically.
• Choose 'No' from 'Show title' option which you wish to hide slide's title.
• Select number from 'Number of slides' dropdown list which you wish to use number of slides in slider.
• Click on 'Save Options'.

Configure Don't miss Section

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options.
• Open Hoomepage Settings > Blocks Settings tab.
• Select the category from ' Featured block ( First ) ' dropdown list which you wish to show at this section in home page. ( Section name will replaced by category name. )
• Select the number from 'Number of post' dropdown list which you wish to display how many posts in this section. ( By default 'All posts' option was selected on this dropdown, which option display all posts from selected category. )
• Click on 'Save options' Button.

Configure Tech and Gadgets Section

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options.
• Open Hoomepage Settings > Blocks Settings tab.
• Select the category from ' Featured block ( Second ) ' dropdown list which you wish to show at this section in home page. ( Section name will replaced by category name. )
• Select the number from 'Number of post' dropdown list which you wish to display how many posts in this section. ( By default 'All posts' option was selected on this dropdown, which option display all posts from selected category. )
• Click on 'Save options' Button.

Configure Travel Guides Section

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options.
• Open Hoomepage Settings > Blocks Settings tab.
• Select the category from ' Featured block ( Third ) ' dropdown list which you wish to show at this section in home page. ( Section name will replaced by category name. )
• Select the number from 'Number of post' dropdown list which you wish to display how many posts in this section. ( By default 'All posts' option was selected on this dropdown, which option display all posts from selected category. )
• Click on 'Save options' Button.

Configure Fashion and Trends Section

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options.
• Open Hoomepage Settings > Blocks Settings tab.
• Select the category from ' Featured block ( Fourth ) ' dropdown list which you wish to show at this section in home page. ( Section name will replaced by category name. )
• Select the number from 'Number of post' dropdown list which you wish to display how many posts in this section. ( By default 'All posts' option was selected on this dropdown, which option display all posts from selected category. )
• Click on 'Save options' Button.

Configure Advertisement banners below Tech and gadgets section

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets
• Add "Text" widget in "Homepage Inline Ad" widget area.
• Leave blank for widget title filed.
• Add your google adsense or required text, also you have used your own add banner jpg/png with 728px width and 90px height. 
• Click on 'Save Options'.

Configure Social Section

• Install AccessPress Social Counter Plugin
• Active the plugin
• Go to Dashboard > AccessPress Social Counter.
• Further details about plugin you can view plugin's documentation.
• Now Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.
• Add 'AccessPress Social Counter' Widgets to 'Home top sidebar' Widget.
• Enter the Title for the Social section in 'Title:' field.
• Choose theme from 'theme' dropdown list as your wish ( Please view once theme layout from here  ).

Configure Advertisement Section

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets
• Add "Text" widget in "Homepage Sidebar Top Ad" widget area.
• Leave blank for widget title filed.
• Add your google adsense or required text, also you have used your own add banner jpg/png with 300px width and 250px height. 
• Click on 'Save Options'.

Configure Editor's Pick Section

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options.
• Open Homepage Settings > Editor Pick Settings tab.
• Select category from 'Select Category' dropdown list which you create earlier (e.g. editor's pick).
• Select number from 'Number of post' dropdown list. ( If you leave as default option it will display all posts from selected category ).
• Click on 'Save options' button.

Configure Advertisement Section

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets
• Add "Text" widget in "Homepage Sidebar Middle Ad" widget area.
• Leave blank for widget title filed.
• Add your google adsense or required text, also you have used your own add banner jpg/png with 300px width and 250px height. 
• Click on 'Save Options'.

Configure Random Posts Section

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets
• Add 'AP-Mag: Random Posts' widget to 'Home bottom sidebar' widget sidebar.
• Enter the title for the Icon Text Block in 'Title:' field.
• Click on 'Save options' button.

Configure Authors Section

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets
• Add 'AP-Mag: Aricle Contributors' widget to 'Home bottom sidebar' widget sidebar.
• Enter the title for the Icon Text Block in 'Title:' field.
• Click on 'Save options' button.

Configuring Subscribe Section

• Install 'Newsletter' Plugin.
• Activate the 'Newsletter' Plugin.
• Then Configure Your Newsletter Details in Dashboard > Newsletter > Configuration.
• Then Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets
• Add 'Newsletter' widget in 'Home bottom sidebar' widget sidebar.
• Give a Title for the Newsletter Section (e.g. Subscribe)
• Add some description.
• Click on 'Save'.

Configuring Footer Widgets

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets
• Add Your Desired widgets in Footer (One - Four) widgets.
• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options.
• Open Footer > Footer Settings tab.
• Choose 'Yes/No' Footer Widgets Option. Also you can choose footer widget layout as your requirement.
• Click on "Save Options" button.

        
Configuring Footer About as in Demo

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.
• Add 'Text' widget in 'Footer 1' widget sidebar.
• Give a Title for the About section (e.g. About)
• Click on 'save' button.

        
Configuring Random Posts as in Demo

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.
• Add 'AP-Mag: Random Posts' widget in 'Footer 2' widget sidebar.
• Give a Title for the Random posts section (e.g. Random Posts).
• Click on 'Save'.

        
Configuring Twitter Feeds as in Demo

• Install 'Accesspress Twitter Feeds' Plugin.
• Activate the 'Accesspress Twitter Feeds' Plugin.
• Go to Dashboard > Accesspress Twitter Feed and configure the setting for your twitter account.
• Now Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.
• Add 'AccessPress Twitter Feeds' Widget to 'Footer 3' widget sidebar.
• Enter a Title for the twitter feed section (e.g. Twitter Feed).
• Select a Template for displaying your twitter feed.
• Click on 'Save' button.

        
Configuring Footer Latest Posts as in Demo

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.
• Add 'AP-Mag: Latest Posts' widget in 'Footer 4' widget sidebar.
• Give a Title for the Random posts section (e.g. Random Posts).
• Click on 'Save'.

Configuring Sub Footer Section

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options.
• Open Footer > Sub-Footer Settings tab.
• Choose 'Yes/No' Sub Footer Option which controls the copyright section at left and footer menu at right side in footer section .
• You can change your copyright text from 'Copyright text' option.
• Choose ''Yes/No' option for only show/hide section of copyright at left side in footer.
• Select menu from 'Footer menu' dropdown list which you wish to dispaly at footer menu right side in footer.

    The Option provides you with the feature to change some text which are untranslatable as per your requirement.

• Go To Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options.
• Open 'Translation' Tab.
• Add/Change the Text for the untranslatable text as per your requirement.
• Click on 'Save Options'.

Create new Category

• Go to Dashboard > Posts > Categories
• Enter name for your Category in "Name" field.
• Click on 'Add New Category' button.

Create new Posts 

• Go to Dashboard > Posts > Add New
• Add the title for new post in Title field.
• Add the description for new post in Contents field.
• Select the Category you created earlier in Categories.
• Set the Featured Image for the Feature post.
• Click on "Publish".

Create new Page

• Go to Dashboard > Pages > Add New
• Add page title in title field and content/description in content field.
• Chosse page layout from "sidebar lagyout" option.
• Click on 'publish' Button.

AccessPress Mag theme supports different layout for website, pages , Single Posts and Archive pages.

Configure WebSite layout

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme options.
• Open Basic Settings > Website Layout tab.
• Choose option "Fullwidth/Boxed" from website layout option as you like.
• After changing option click on "Save Options" button.

Configure Page layout

• Go to Dashboard >  Page > Add new tab.
• Go to Dashboard > Page > Edit link below the page title. ( For edit pages )
• Choose sidebar from "sidebar layout" custom meta box.
• After changes click on "Publish/Update" button.

Configure Post layout ( for overall )

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options.
• Open Post Settings > Post Layout.
• Choose template for posts from "Default post template" option.
• Choose sidebar for posts from "Default post sidebar" option.
• After changes Click on "Save Options" button.

Configure Post Layout ( for individual )

• Go to Dashboard > Posts > Add New tab.
• Go to Dashboard > Posts > Edit link under post title tab. ( For edit posts )
• Choose template option from "Post Template" section as you like.
• Choose sidebar option from "Post sidebar" section as you like.
• After changes Click on "Publish/Update" button.

Configure Archive Layout

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options.
• Open Archive Settings > Archive style tab.
• Choose temeplate option from "Archive page template" as you like.
• Choose sidebar option from "Archive page sidebar" as  you like.
• After changes Click on "Save Options" button.

Advertisement Below the Article

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets
• Add "Text" widget in "Article Ad" widget area.
• Leave blank for widget title filed.
• Add your google adsense or required text, also you have used your own add banner jpg/png with 728px width and 90px height. 
• Click on 'Save Options'.

AccessPress Mag have some extra useful features which is necessary for magazine and other purpose themes.

Configure Breadcrumb option

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme options.
• Open Post Settings > Breadcrumbs tab.
• Choose "Yes/No" option to Show/Hide breadcrumbs in whole website.
• Choose "No" option to hide breadcrumbs in only single post. 
• Choose "Yes" option to put the link for home.
• Choose "No" option to get rid article title from breadcrumbs.
• After changes Click on "Save Options" button.

How to hide author name?

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme options.
• Open Post Settings > Additional Settings tab.
• Choose "No" from "Show Author under title" option.
• After changes Click on "Save Options" button.

How to hide post's date/view count/ comment count ?

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme options.
• Open Post Settings > Additional Settings tab.
• Choose "No" from "Show Date" option to get rid article posted date.
• Choose "No" from "Show post view" option to get rid article view count.
• Choose "No" from "Show comment count" to get rid article comment count.
• After changes Click on "Save Options" button.

How to limit the excerpt text?

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme options.
• Open Excerpts > Excerpts tab.
• Choose type from "Excerpt type" option in letters or words.
• About size of letters give number in text field of "Excerpt length".
• After changes Click on "Save Options" button.

Author Box

The author box will appear just below the post in single post view. This theme supports the author bio. To display the author bio, you need to write the bio information in the profile section (Users->Your Profile) inside the Biographical Info.

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme options.
• Open Post Settings > Additional Settings tab.
• Choose "No" from "Show author box" option.
• After changes Click on "Save Options" button.

Post Tags

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme options.
• Open Post Settings > Additional Settings tab.
• Choose "Yes/No" from "Show Tags on site" option as you like.
• After changes Click on "Save Options" button.

Featured image option

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme options.
• Open Post Settings > Featured images tab.
• Choose "Yes/No" from "Show featured image" option as you like. ( Option affected only in single post view page )
• After changes Click on "Save Options" button.

Navigation in Single post view

• Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme options.
• Open Post Settings > Featured images tab.
• Choose "Yes/No" from "Show Navigation in Posts" option as you like.
• After changes Click on "Save Options" button.

Here are some of the lists of the widgets, which are available through this theme.

1. AP-Mag: Random Posts

This is the widget to show the random posts in the sidebar or footer widget. Here, you need to only add the widget title which you want.

2. AP-Mag: Latest Posts

This is the widget to show the three latest posts in the sidebar or footer widget. Here, you need to only add the widget title which you want.

3. AP-Mag: Article Contributors

This is the widget to show the Authors in the sidebar or footer widget. Here, you need to only add the widget title which you want.
