Doko - A Free WordPress Theme


Installing Doko Theme (Administration Panel)

 

  • Get a copy of Doko Theme
  • Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel
  • Click on Appearance -> Themes -> Add New
  • Click on Upload Theme button at the top and browse the downloaded zip file in your computer
  • Click on Install button and then Activate the theme
 
 

Installing Parallaxsome Theme (Cpanel / FTP)

 

  • Get a copy of Doko Theme
  • Unzip the downloaded zip file
  • Upload the unzipped file into /wp-content/themes/
  • Now, activate the theme by going to Appearance -> Themes in the WordPress dashboard.
  • Activate the Doko theme and Click on “Customize” in the Appearance Menu in the Dashboard.
 
 

Updating Theme

 

  • Backup your existing theme folder
  • Copy the files inside "Doko" folder from the zip file of the latest version of Doko Theme
  • Enter the theme's admin panel and save your options

Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize>> General Setting

Inner Pages Header Image

(Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > General Setting > Inner Pages Header Image)

 

Site Identity

(Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > General Setting > Site Identity)

 

Theme Colors

(Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > General Setting > Theme Colors)

 

Background Image

(Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > General Setting > Background Image)

 

Static Front Page

  • Create your static page and use it as the front page
 
(Note: you must create the Page first. From Admin > Page > Add New)
 
Here is procedure:
 
To get the homepage as in the demo you need to follow following steps:
1.Go To Backend > Pages > Add New
Then add a new page and select its template to Homepage (which is provided with the theme.) (According to a new guideline of WordPress we can't have frontpage that loads automatically when you install the theme.) and save it.
 
2. Then Go To Appearance > Customize > Default Settings > Your Front Page 
Choose Static Page and select the page you just created from the drop-down.
Then you can manage everything from there only.

Steps to Create a Blog page 

     Step 1: Go to Dashboard > Pages then create a blog page

     Step2:  Go To Appearance > Customize > Default Settings > Static Front Page then select the blog post page you just created from the drop-down.
